Clarke-Hook President and CEO Ed Zigo was born and raised in New York City and Long Island. He came to Clarke-Hook in the early 1980s after several years working on the marketing team at the New York Stock Exchange. Since taking over Clarke-Hook, Ed has overseen all details of the company’s portfolio and operations thereof, including strategic business units like Brickyard coworking, managed by his daughter Ann Orem.
Ed has served as adjunct faculty member at University of Maryland, University College for more than 15 years teaching a range of courses from real estate to marketing and entrepreneurial subjects. He has also guest lectured at other universities including University of Virginia, Marymount, and DeVry.
In his time away from Clarke-Hook, Ed is a competitive distance runner, logging multiple marathons, including Boston, NYC, Marine Corp, and Chicago. He is a surfer as well – spending time in the Outerbanks and Costa Rica whenever possible. He’s been married to his wife, Mary since 1977 and has four grown children, Ann, Ed, Molly, and Tommy.
Fun fact about Ed: His father, Ed, Sr. was the NYPD Homicide Detective who caught the Son of Sam serial killer.
